Ongoing work with my favorite person. Ashley has been inspiring me for years. I think it was her all these years ago that i noticed a change in my work flow with. Even days after hanging out with her she was an inspiration to my work. A combination of beauty and energy that kept me painting and now making images. It's refreshing to have her in front of my lens.

NOW. Get busy.

I was all over the map with Anika, LA, Brooklyn, expired film, chrome, black & white. Running low on my film supply and trying to keep up with conceptual ideas as well as continue to shoot portraits of people, artist, lovers, mothers and fathers. I have been staying way focused, i feel as if i have been humbled by my recent living situations and just battle with being poor as well as creative. i am on the move and i hope i continue to go up. i have accomplished a lot and now i am removing the blind fold to see my next giant steps.

During my visit to NY i got to shoot Anika. It was a fast shoot, she was wiped out and i was super jet lagged. Just when i feel like i need to go digital i make an image on my Hasselblad and remember the magic of composition. It is always more exiting to wait for the image and have faith in your eye, knowing what you are shooting and why you waited for that moment.
On another note Anika is amazing, i was very lucky to have been able to sit in on sound check while she preformed "Once in a life time" by the Talking Heads
